Have you ever been caught staring at a baby smiling at you? It's all encompassing, stops you in your tracks, and captures you in the moment. A smiling laughing baby can change the atmosphere of a room in a split second. You can almost feel peace flow over you when a baby smiles directly at you. How many people do you smile at in a day? The truth is, not enough. It's easy to hide behind the mask, its harder to connect and consciously make a difference and bring peace to the environments we are part of. Its easy to criticize and becoming harder to understand. People will say offensive things, dumb things, wrong things - all the time. Looking to be offended all the time is easy - choosing to give someone grace and taking the higher road. Imagine how much peace could flow through our day if we were quick to say sorry, quick to find a solution, and quick to admit when we are wrong. What if we we slow to speak, truly listened, and responded with genuine compassion towards others? What if peace was our objective?
